leaving

Thu Dec 4, 2008, 5:08 AM
i'm leaving. maybe running. the pace it takes to keep up with this "modern tempo" is too fuckin much. I've done some traveling this summer and it was the best three months of my life. i had nothing but a backpack and a sleeping bag. sleeping in the nature, actually seeing the stars that are usually hidden with pollution, drinking fresh water from the Alps and breathing fresh air in seemingly endless woods. c'mon! can anybody give me any good reason why an intelligent person would want to live in a big city?
the noise, the mass of people trying to stand out in the crowd by, sometimes, any means possible? cars and buses and airplanes and commercials and beggars and screams and cops and trains...i do overstand the thrill of the city life with all the parties and happenings, educational possibilities, meeting interesting people, visiting pubs and bars an occasional visit to the park to get away from it all...i can see...but isn't just too saturated. don't you get fed up with it after months or years?

i mean it's all the same. the mentality of my surroundings is incredible. have you ever thought about what you have in your rooms? computer, furniture, instruments, clothes, books, cd's, dvd's and what not...i mean...who's paying for our "high standard" of living? of course, you go to work and you pay for it. but you see...a dream always takes sacrifices. and it seems to me that the western and American dream (is it one and the same thing nowadays?) sacrificed our mother Earth which is our provider. can't anyone see we're killing her? oh yes, we all see it...we just don't wanna know about it. and to think that the developed world's greed is destroying the Earth...think of all the developing countries who look up to our shining shells rotting within...they too want cars and computers and all the cold comforting stuff...stuff...more stuff...more stuff...do i hear some leader saying: "people of the world, we found another planet similar to Earth, you know the drill...kill!

my favourite movie is the matrix. my favorite part is when agent Smith explains why we are viruses. you know why? because he tells the truth. we each construct a matrix within our heads and live it as it is the bible. and as we are the robots we are also neos and morpheuses capable of seeing the truth. c'mon people!! wake the fuck up!! follow the white rabbit, take the red pill!!

i took the red pill, returned to the matrix because of my weak stance, but my life is changed forever. i simply cannot enjoy this make-believe world. so i'm leaving it. i guy once told me it is a mistake. however, in this world a mistake is the only true solution. goodbye and i hope i'll be seeing you on the other side.
